Lead Smart Solutions Specialist

To lead the development and deployment of groundbreaking Islamic Financial solutions leveraging emerging technologies - such as Blockchain, smart contract, and artificial intelligence - to tackle the economic development challenges facing Member Countries & Muslim communities worldwide, in accordance with the principle of Islamic economics and finance.
Key AccountabilitiesContribute to the business development of knowledge solutions to achieve the Institute's strategic objectives.
Lead extensive research and provide effective recommendations on the best technologies and solutions in the Blockchain, Distributed Ledge Technology, Smart Contract, and Crypto economy, or any other disruptive technology particularly in the realm of Financial Industry.
Assess the technological and development challenges faced by the Member Countries in embracing Blockchain based products and solutions, conceptualize and develop smart and relevant use cases to address those challenges.
Assess the impact of the existing and emerging policies and regulations in the Member Countries in their ability and / or willingness to embrace digitally enabled financial products and solutions.
Lead in the development of cutting-edge solutions in collaboration with external and internal sources and supervise them to serve the Islamic finance sector and Islamic Fintech industry.
Lead in the Mapping out of the local and regional key digitalization players in the Member Countries and their service offerings, which serve the Islamic Financial Institutions.
Lead in the development of solutions descriptions, models, prototypes, and Proof of Concept (PoC) for the intended solutions by the concerned Technical Partners and test marketing of the pilot solutions for validating the hypotheses.
Provide regular progress reports to the Direct Supervisor on his/her performance and results.
Play a key role in the collaboration with the worldwide patent offices for the registration and / or filing of patents / copyrights / intellectual property rights to protect the interest of Institute's propriety solutions.
Oversee close links with other development agencies and IFIs to coordinate and align activities related to FinTech.
Academic and Professional QualificationsMaster's degree in computer engineering or any related degree.
Minimum 10 years of experience developing knowledge solutions in connection with Islamic Finance.
Professional certification in a FinTech field is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of managerial / supervisory experience is required.
Skills & Necessary KnowledgeAdvanced knowledge and experience in Fintech technology and applications in Islamic finance.
Advanced Knowledge and understanding of the digital and crypto-based Islamic economy.
Very good knowledge of Islamic financial products and markets.
Strong ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
