Important Note to Applicants:
While the role is titled Finance Manager, the client is seeking candidates at Assistant Manager level or those ready for their first step into management. This is a hands-on role involving operational finance work, ideal for someone who is comfortable working across both detail and strategy.

Position Overview
The Finance Manager will support the CFO in developing financial strategies and plans while leading the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient internal controls, accurate reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. It also involves direct responsibility for budgeting, treasury, and team development-making it an ideal opportunity for someone eager to grow into a broader leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
Oversee core financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Receivable, and General Ledger.
Maintain full accounting records and ensure timely, accurate reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
Prepare consolidated financial statements, management reports, and analytics for leadership meetings.
Budgeting & Analysis
Lead or support the preparation of the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and cashflow projections.
Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Recommend improvements for reporting and overall financial efficiency.
Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with all statutory and internal finance requirements (e.g., SST/WHT).
Manage the audit process, including draft reporting and coordination with external auditors.
Treasury & Stakeholder Management
Monitor and manage cashflow; liaise with banks and financial institutions as needed.
Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Team Support & Development
Supervise and support junior finance team members.
Contribute to team development through induction, coaching, and performance feedback.
Process Improvement
Assist in implementing new processes or systems aligned with strategic goals.
Offer recommendations for enhancing workflows and internal controls.
Other Duties
Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Support group-wide finance initiatives as required.
Education & Experience
Degree in Accounting or a recognised professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MIA).
Minimum 5 years' experience in a finance role, ideally with some exposure to management tasks.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
Clear and confident communication and presentation abilities.
Organised and detail-oriented with excellent time management.
Strong MS Office skills (Excel in particular).
Familiarity with Italian and European accounting frameworks.
Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is a plus.
