The Job on OfferWe are currently recruiting for Platform Engineers (with DevOps, DevSecOps & SRE skills) to support our clients operating in both the retail sector and energy sector.
This is an opportunity to join our expanding practice and support our clients with some game-changing strategic programmes.
This will be a varied role with the opportunity to impart your knowledge but also learn new tech as well as working in a fast-paced environment.Your Role and Key ActivitiesDesign, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable platform infrastructure.
Ensure the platform's scalability and performance meet the evolving needs of the business.
Work with Kubernetes Build reusable CI/CD pipelines using the latest CICD Tooling.
Support development teams in deploying their applications.
Build and implement Infrastructure-As-Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Implement and maintain security best practices ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Work with our clients to extend their teams and advise as they onboard products to shared platform services.
Oversee, design, and implement the security, backup, and service management strategies.
Delivering and monitoring KPIs/SLAs for all services that we create.
Promoting automation and adoption of Platform Engineering practices to improve quality, decrease developer burnout and enable fast product delivery.Technical Required ExperienceExcellent practical experience of AWS.
Proficient in containers, ideally EKS, including knowledge of Service Meshes.
Excellent proven experience using Infrastructure as Code - Terraform/Atlantis/Digger.
Experience with SaaS-based Git products and CICD Pipeline tooling.
Experience deploying and observing applications in AWS.
Solid experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux-based environments.
Understand secure network technologies, and best practice network concepts in cloud and Hybrid environments.
Experience in Security Engineering.
An understanding of MITRE Att&ck framework.
An understanding of microservice architectures and event-driven architectures.
Some experience with SIEM/SOAR tools or implementing security correlation and analytics.
Strong coding skills, ideally one or more of these; shell, Python, Go, Helm, Ansible, etc.
Experience working with monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Sumologic, Splunk.About You:
You will have a proven demonstrable track record in DevOps / DevSecOps or Platform Engineering role with at least 5 years' experience.
It is essential you have experience in e-commerce commercial retail sector and / or energy sector.
You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to share your knowledge with the wider team.
Understanding & experience of working in agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
Certifications are advantageous.
You will be open-minded, with a collaborative working approach.
You are driven to learn, succeed and to deliver excellence with a passion for Platform Engineering.
You will be someone who will promote and develop Platform Engineering practices across the business to really be an advocate.
