About the Role:
Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Role Overview:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team and support the automation, monitoring, and deployment of cloud infrastructure and applications. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong interest in DevOps, scripting, and cloud technologies, who are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for software deployment and automation.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using Splunk or Zabbix.
Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and system reliability.
Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
Work with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools to automate cloud provisioning.
Ensure security, compliance, and best practices in all DevOps workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
2 to 5 years of experience in DevOps engineering, and cloud infrastructure.
Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk or Zabbix for log analysis and system performance tracking.
Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).
Knowledge of Linux environments and cloud platforms (AWS).
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized applications.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
Locations: Richmond, VA
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $80K- $100K annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, 5 personal days accrued each calendar year, 10-15 days of paid vacation time, 6 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday per calendar year, and Ascendion Learning Management System.
