You Are
As an Advanced AI Research Scientist Associate Director, you will translate real-world challenges into practical, scalable AI and Machine Learning solutions.
• Lead teams and guide exploration and implementation of new methodologies, model building techniques, and cutting-edge algorithms, applying the appropriate architecture to solve real-world problems.
• Possess a deep understanding of generative AI, LLM, and multi-modal models, with a focus on driving innovation by applying these techniques to new business problems and use cases.
• Train and fine-tune generative AI models as needed, evaluating their effectiveness for specific problems.
• Justify the value of innovative generative AI and traditional Machine Learning approaches in business contexts, constructing methodologies that demonstrate their value clearly.
• Set strategic research priorities and direct research efforts for both short-term and long-term workstreams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business and technical stakeholders, to ensure AI solutions meet requirements and expectations.

The Work
• Engage in discussions to gather business use case requirements, providing AI expertise and solution options.
• Design, develop, and implement advanced AI/ML models, especially LLMs and other Gen AI models, using techniques like self-supervised learning, transfer learning, and fine-tuning.
• Develop sophisticated Gen AI applications, including generative agents and architectures supporting multiple models for complex tasks.
• Lead technical teams and foster AI expertise within the broader team, including offshore members.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to identify requirements and ensure AI solutions meet stakeholder needs.
• Develop and execute project plans, including timelines and infrastructure dependencies.
• Define value justification approaches, estimate costs, and calculate ROI for AI solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation to facilitate understanding, knowledge transfer, and future development.
• Collaborate with academic partners to stay at the forefront of AI, providing leadership on trends, use cases, opportunities, and risks.

Travel may be required based on business needs.

Here's What You Need
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing and developing neural network models, especially deep learning and foundation models.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in building and fine-tuning foundation models, including LLMs and multi-modal models.
• Extensive knowledge of technologies, modalities, and architectures in the Generative AI space.
• Proven experience with large language models, GPU-based training, and system performance modeling.
• At least 4 years of experience in team management or mentorship.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 12 years; if an associate's degree, then at least 6 years).
