Experience:
12 months of nursing experience in the acute care setting is necessary.
24 months of experience in a Medical Surgical Unit is required.
Requirements:
Must possess an active registered nurse license in Illinois.
This position may involve floating to additional units and locations.
Open to both local and travel applicants.
Flu vaccination is required after application submission, with medical and religious exemptions accepted.
Complete pre-employment modules as instructed. Upload any relevant certifications or health documents to expedite your onboarding process.
Additional Information:
Scheduling: Expected to work every other weekend and every other holiday where applicable.
Block booking and schedule patterns will depend on departmental needs.
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week.
Nurses typically float to other General Medicine units as need arises; travelers float first.
The unit features 13 beds, with plans to expand by an additional 10 beds.
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4-5.
Candidates should have a robust understanding of nursing practice, acquired through completion of an accredited School of Nursing. A six to ten weeks unit-specific orientation is provided to familiarize nurses with policies, procedures, and routines. Please adhere to the dress code, avoiding childish scrub patterns as we operate in an adult unit.
