The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will play a critical role in supporting the Motion Picture Association, Inc.'s (MPA) global recruiting and training and development initiatives, and employee relations for the Washington, D.C.
office.
This position will be a strategic partner to assigned business units in Washington, D.C., providing guidance and support on a wide range of HR related matters.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, results-oriented professional with a strong understanding of recruiting, training, and employee development best practices with a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
The HRBP reports to the Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Manage the full-cycle recruitment efforts for all global offices, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies with hiring managers to attract top talent.
Manage MPA's summer internship program with internal constituents.Ensure a positive candidate experience and a smooth onboarding process.Manage relationships with external recruiters and agencies as needed.Training & Development:
Identify training and development needs with executives and team managers across all global offices.Develop and deliver training programs on various topics, including compliance, leadership, and professional development.Coordinate and facilitate employee development initiatives, such as mentoring programs and workshops.Maintain accurate training records and track employee development progress.Employee Relations:
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters for assigned business units in the Washington, D.C.
office, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Conduct investigations and resolve employee complaints in a timely and professional manner under the direction of the CHRO.Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management.Other Duties:
Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the CHRO.Stay up to date on HR best practices and industry trends.Participate in the Employee Human Resources Group (EHRG), a networking group of Human Resources professionals that work for an array of trade associations, located in Washington, D.C., in collaboration with the CHRO.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on recruitment, training and development, and employee relations.Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience working in a global organization is a plus.Experience working with HRIS systems, specifically Workday HRIS.SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.Experience with international recruiting is a strong plus.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
