About The RoleThe Mozn brand is involved in various stakeholder touchpoints. The ideal candidate for the Senior Data Scientist position would have expertise in Open Banking, Credit Scoring, Financial Fraud Detection, Sanction Screening, KYC procedures, and AML initiatives. You will develop and implement advanced analytics models to detect and prevent fraudulent activities and mitigate AML risks.
What You'll DoLead initiatives for fraud detection and AML strategies.
Engage with SME and enterprise clients to understand their pain points and develop project plans with clear deliverables.
Research, experiment, and customize solutions to improve detection capabilities.
Train and deploy machine learning models.
Contribute to the development roadmap for fraud and AML solutions.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to fraud detection, AML, and financial crime prevention.
QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
Minimum 5 years of experience leading advanced data science projects.
At least 3 years of client-facing experience in fraud prevention and AML.
Strong communication skills for client interactions and presentation of findings.
Proficiency in handling large datasets using SQL and Python.
Experience in data analysis, visualization, and transformation.
Expertise in building and maintaining ML and statistical models; experience with graph analytics is a plus.
Knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and feature engineering.
Ability to create complex data pipelines.
Experience with fraud detection models or related consulting is highly advantageous.
Proficiency in English and Arabic languages.
Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and adaptability skills.
