Job Title: Product Owner - Reverse Proxy

Location: Luxembourg (On-site)

Contract: Freelance Or Permanent contract- Long-term mission (multi-year)

Language: Fluent English required

Eligibility: EU citizenship required

Mission overview

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to lead the development and evolution of Reverse Proxy solutions within a major European institution. You will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle, aligning technical solutions with business needs, and ensuring the security and performance of network access layers.

Key responsibilities

Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for Reverse Proxy services

Act as the main interface between business stakeholders, security teams, and technical teams

Prioritize and manage the product backlog in alignment with institutional goals

Ensure compliance with security policies and network architecture standards

Coordinate with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to ensure high availability and resilience

Monitor performance, incidents, and propose continuous improvements

Lead workshops, write user stories, and validate deliverables

Required skills & experience

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in IT infrastructure or network security

Strong understanding of networking concepts, reverse proxy technologies (e.g., NGINX, HAProxy, F5, etc.)

Solid knowledge of security principles, including authentication, encryption, and access control

Experience working in agile environments and with DevOps teams

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Fluent in English (written and spoken)

EU citizenship is mandatory due to security clearance requirements

Nice to have

Experience in public sector or institutional environments

Familiarity with cloud-based reverse proxy solutions (e.g., Azure Front Door, AWS CloudFront)

Certifications such as PSPO, Scrum Product Owner, or network/security certifications (e.g., CCNA, CISSP)
