has an exciting opportunity for a FootJoy Product Manager.
As the Canadian FootJoy product champion, the Product Manager will support brand objectives by delivering profitable and sustainable growth through the strategic management of all FJ product lines.
With an understanding of the FJ customer, the market and trends, the Product Manager will develop our product assortment and manage FJ products throughout the product lifecycle.
The Product Manager will also work in close collaboration with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure revenue and margin targets are achieved.
You possess a unique blend of product analytics, classic marketing skills, business savvy, creativity, superior relationship building skills, and a work ethic that is second to none.
The Product Manager is responsible for selecting and merchandising the Canadian product line from the global assortment, ensuring alignment with local and global strategic directives, and optimizing the mix, positioning, and pricing to drive sales and profitability.
Work closely with the DTC Manager to define the product offerings within the direct-to-consumer channel and manage all DTC inventory.
Work closely with the global product teams to ensure all consumer packaging is developed in line with Canadian market needs/requirements.
Actively manage inventory and product life-cycles, in line with company objectives, maximizing sales and margin and minimizing inventory mark downs/reserves.
Develop and execute product education and training programs for key accounts to support the sales objectives.
Work closely with the Marketing Manager in the planning and execution of all product marketing initiatives.
Execute product and sales presentations to the sales team, key accounts, internal staff.
Provide product and sales reports on a regular basis to provide management with pertinent information and trend analysis.
Lead the mid-month forecast, incorporating input from the DTC Manager, National Account Manager, Brand Manager and Finance team.
Develop the Business Plan with strategic direction from the Brand Manager and support from the DTC Manager, National Account Manager, and Finance team.
Ensure inventory availability reporting tools used by the sales team and trade partners are managed to provide accurate and timely information.
Provide clear and timely communication regarding changes to inventory or pricing (arrival dates, sell outs, close-outs, etc.).
Develop and update market information and competitive profiles including product overviews, pricing, programs, SWOT analysis, estimated market shares.
Lead and support the activities of the inventory analyst.
Provide clear communication regarding Canadian needs and participate in international product and marketing meetings.
Previous product management experience with golf /sporting goods or consumer products will be considered an asset.
A relevant University Bachelor's Degree is required (marketing, communications and/or business).
The ideal candidate will be an avid golfer who brings an affinity for the Acushnet brands and the ability to relate to dedicated golfers of all skill levels.
Strategic, analytical and detail oriented with the demonstrated ability to synthesize complex or diverse information into actionable data that supports business plans.
A thorough working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required, as well as in depth experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and data management and planning tools (e.g., Excellent problem solving and project management skills.
