As the Senior Manager, Middle Office & Quantitative Analytics, you will be responsible for leading the Middle Office team in providing independent risk oversight over all derivative trading programs (e.g., CRM, FX trading, Interest Rate hedging, and other structures). You will also lead the Quantitative Analytics team in developing risk reporting tools and valuation methodologies used for market, credit, liquidity, and operational risk measurement. Your goal is to ensure activities are conducted transparently and in accordance with our risk management policies. Success in this role will be measured by effective team leadership, impactful quantitative model development, and decision support analytics for our organization.

Your Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction to the Middle Office and Quantitative Analytics teams, including setting objectives, measuring results, and ensuring accountability and development
Oversee development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of quantitative models and decision support tools for internal teams such as Commodity Risk Management, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Accounting, and Middle Office
Manage the Middle Office activities, including risk management of derivative transactions, ensuring compliance with policies and limits. Activities include forward curve generation, mark-to-market calculations, reconciliation, and daily risk reporting
Balance independent reporting with a business partnering approach to enable effective operations
Lead research and collaboration on complex accounting arrangements and projects
Engage with senior leaders and executives, preparing analyses and presentations
Support committees such as CRMC and Audit & Finance in risk oversight and hedge strategy evaluation
Assist with Board and Committee reporting as needed
Develop detailed process and documentation for Middle Office and Quantitative Analytics teams

Your Skills

Excellent communication and analytical skills to articulate complex analyses clearly

Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally

Your Experience

10+ years in risk management or quantitative analytics, preferably in commodities, banking, or energy trading
Experience in energy commodities and derivatives markets
7+ years of leadership experience
Knowledge of quantitative risk models like VaR, EaR, CFaR
Programming skills (Python, R, C++, SAS, etc.) are a plus
Masters in a quantitative field preferred (mathematics, statistics, financial engineering, business)
