MFQ opère le complexe minier à ciel ouvert du Lac Bloom situé à environ 13 km au nord de Fermont, au Québec, dans la Fosse du Labrador.
En collaboration avec ses partenaires innus, elle le fait de façon responsable, avec l'expertise de ses gens et la confiance de toutes ses parties prenantes.
Ses deux concentrateurs, principalement alimentés à l'hydroélectricité, ont une capacité nominale combinée de 15 Mtpa et produisent un concentré de minerai de fer de haute pureté qui permet de décarboner l'industrie de l'acier pour lutter contre les changements climatiques.

• Sous la responsabilité du Directeur, le surintendant adjoint, conformité environnementale est responsable d'assurer l'élaboration et la mise en œuvre du système de gestion environnementale et des programmes environnementaux.
Ceci afin d'assurer le respect des obligations de conformité règlementaire de l'organisation et de minimiser les impacts sur l'environnement, la biodiversité et le milieu social.
Il doit agir à titre de référence en matière de conformité environnementale auprès de l'organisation.
Gestion environnementale proactive :
Identifier et gérer les risques environnementaux tout en mettant en œuvre des mesures d'amélioration continue et en adaptant le système de gestion environnementale aux changements.
• Formation et sensibilisation :
Développer et maintenir à jour un programme de formation environnementale pour les employés et sous-traitants, conforme aux normes et évolutions réglementaires.
• Suivi de la performance environnementale :
Évaluer les performances, mettre en place des indicateurs, proposer et suivre des plans d'action en lien avec les problématiques identifiées.
• Conformité et communication réglementaire :
Assurer la conformité des opérations aux lois environnementales, produire les rapports requis et diffuser l'information de manière claire à tous les niveaux.
• Soutien intersectoriel :
Accompagner les gestionnaires de tous les secteurs dans l'application des normes environnementales et soutenir les démarches de demandes de permis pour le site.
• Gestion d'équipe et développement du personnel :
Encadrer son équipe en valorisant la performance, en assurant le développement professionnel et en instaurant un climat de travail respectueux.
• Respect des normes et amélioration continue :
Veiller à la qualité des opérations, à l'application des politiques internes, et à l'amélioration des méthodes de travail et du respect des standards éthiques et collectifs.
• Santé, sécurité et leadership opérationnel :
Promouvoir un environnement de travail sécuritaire, participer aux audits, inspections et enquêtes, et démontrer un leadership fort en santé-sécurité et en qualité des opérations.
Formation ou expérience pertinente en conformité environnementale;
• Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience en gestion de personnel;
• Bonne connaissance des instances règlementaires fédérales et provinciales, en lien à la conformité environnementale;
• Maîtrise des systèmes informatiques (suite Office et SAP un atout);
