Clean Harbors is looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician to join their safety conscious team in Edmonton, AB! You will be required to complete daily rounds, perform troubleshooting and basic repairs of a variety of appliances/ equipment, inventory, materials ordering, preventative maintenance, subcontractor coordination, and basic repairs to the building and building systems at our Edmonton campus location. Please be mindful that this is a labor-intensive position.

Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
Performs preventative maintenance to buildings and appliances in a safe and efficient manner;
Regular Inspections (Monthly/Quarterly/Annually) of the mechanical systems, electrical systems and critical infrastructure to ensure all systems are running at efficient standards
Focus on energy efficiency, indoor air quality, building cleanliness and aesthetics
Monitors and ensures that the systems that support the building are operational;
Possess the ability to research and find information to troubleshoot and maintain malfunctioning systems at the facility. Take proper measures to correct the issue(s);
Maintains sufficient inventory levels for continuous operation

Class 5 Driver's License required;
Ability to work on call when needed/ required;
Understands the functioning of all building systems in the region such as electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire/life safety, building security, and janitorial
1+ years' experience with facility building maintenance and operations is an asset;
Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, machinery, etc.;
Possess good communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to interact with clients;
Good computer skills.
