MRICS qualification is mandatory.
Bachelor/Master of Engineering Civil Engineering or QS degree or similar disciplines.Work Experience:
15 years of experience in QS/Estimation within UAE, GCC countries, or your home country.
Must have strong pre-contract leadership experience on multi-sector projects.Other Requirements- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in QS software (Cost X, MS Office, AutoCAD, Planswift).- Extensive managerial and/or technical experience.- Experience dealing with pre-contract projects and stakeholders.- High energy, action-oriented, with professional presence.- Strong oral and written communication skills.Role OverviewWe are seeking a senior Cost Consultant with expertise in cost planning and estimating, capable of crafting detailed pricing documents.
Your role will involve collaborating with international designers to ensure the integration of luxury and value in our projects, including ultra-luxury residential and hospitality developments in UAE and KSA.
You will be instrumental in keeping projects on budget and serving as a key contact for clients, providing expert cost advice to realize their project visions.Key Responsibilities- Client Collaboration:
Attend meetings, provide cost advice, and build strong stakeholder relationships.- Cost Management:
Guide the team, prepare bills of quantities, develop cost plans, and manage project budgets.- Contract Administration:
Review contractor pricing, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with contractual terms.- Project Oversight:
Lead pre-contract teams, conduct feasibility studies, and manage risks.- Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare cost reports, identify savings, and communicate findings effectively.- Team Leadership:
Manage and develop the pre-contract team, ensuring deadlines are met.- Technical Expertise:
Understand building contracts, safety regulations, and cost planning principles.- Business Development:
Support marketing efforts and provide technical input for quotations.- Design Collaboration:
Work with architects and engineers on design decisions and value engineering.- Negotiation:
Lead negotiations with contractors and subcontractors.- Feasibility Studies:
Assist clients in project requirement definition and conduct QS-supported feasibility assessments.- Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate commercial risks.- Tendering:
Oversee tender cost preparations and analysis.- Contractual Guidance:
Advise on contractual claims and contract types.- Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on construction contracts and best practices.Success CriteriaExtensive experience in pre-construction cost management, proven leadership in complex projects, excellent communication skills, negotiation acumen, and MRICS qualification are essential.Disclaimer:
