Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, driven, and solution-oriented individual to join our Compliance, Financial Crime & Conduct Risk ('CFCR') Advisory team, based in and covering the largest trading floor in the Middle East. You will advise our market-leading Sales, Trading, and Structuring teams, ensuring the Bank complies with regulatory obligations in some of the most dynamic markets in the Middle East and beyond. Asset classes include, but are not limited to, foreign exchange, fixed income, commodities, and digital assets.
Job Responsibilities
Support the Chief Compliance Officer, UAE, and Head of CFCR Advisory, Markets AME, in managing regulatory, conduct, financial crime, and compliance risks related to the Markets business in UAE and the Middle East.
Provide updates on developments that could pose material risks or lead to regulatory breaches, and notify relevant stakeholders.
Develop a thorough understanding of the Markets business model and strategy to support appropriate CFCR oversight and challenge.
Advise on CFCR matters related to products, new initiatives, projects, and transactions, including business reviews and remedial activities.
Assist in resolving regulatory conflicts, such as between AML and data privacy regulations.
Act as 2nd Line Risk Owner for relevant Markets processes, exercising oversight and challenge.
Collaborate with regional teams to anticipate and mitigate horizon risks impacting the Bank.
Ensure timely communication with senior management and regulators in case of serious breaches.
Coordinate with internal audit and risk managers to address identified weaknesses.
Participate in governance meetings and prepare reports for senior stakeholders.
Identify and escalate risks and issues, proposing control improvements.
Skills and Experience
At least 3 years of banking experience, especially in Compliance or Financial Markets / Treasury.
Good understanding of Markets products, including FX, fixed income, and commodities.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
Qualifications
University degree.
Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.
