About our Dubai Campus

With growing student numbers and upcoming campus extensions, we are expanding our academic team. We seek passionate academics dedicated to delivering high-quality, accessible, practice-oriented education and research that promotes responsible business.
Edinburgh Business School Dubai is part of HeriotWatt University, organized into four departments, offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees across disciplines. We are expanding our Executive Education offerings and are involved in research, teaching, and consultancy activities across our campuses, with strong ties to the local business community and regional initiatives.


We are seeking motivated, qualified academics with a Doctoral qualification, teaching, research, and course management experience. Candidates should have published in high-quality journals and be committed to building their research profile. They should develop links with colleagues across campuses and external partners, contribute to program development, and support external engagement. Membership of the HEA is mandatory.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in digital marketing, expertise in digital practice, and experience in research-rich teaching. They will supervise research projects and teach areas such as Digital Marketing Analytics, Social Media Marketing, Fundamentals of Marketing, among others. Experience in UK HE institutions and understanding of quality assurance are preferred.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Undertake teaching and assessment duties, support course delivery, and contribute to program development.
Develop teaching materials, review and improve teaching practices, and support accreditation processes.
Mentor and supervise students, providing feedback and pastoral support.
Enhance subject expertise and reflect research developments in teaching.
Build research in relevant areas, publish internationally, and develop external links.
Participate in marketing and recruitment activities.
Contribute to administrative tasks, committee participation, and undertake leadership roles as appropriate.
Engage in professional development activities.
This role may include additional duties as required and evolve over time.
Essential Criteria

Education & Qualifications: PhD or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
Experience:
Undergraduate teaching experience, research publication record, supervision experience, funded projects, UK HE experience.
Skills & Knowledge:
Fluency in English, proficiency with VLEs, research application, teamwork.
Teaching Areas:
Course assessment development, pedagogy, industry engagement, analytics application.
Desirable Criteria

Fellowship of HEA, professional memberships, postgraduate teaching, industry links, academic leadership, online course development, program development experience.
