The project:
Mace is providing project management services on a large mixed-use regeneration development in Abu Dhabi. The site will have commercial workplaces and retail units along with public realm.
The wet utilities design engineer is responsible for managing the design and delivery of the wet utilities for the infrastructure works. This role requires technical expertise in potable water, storm water, sewer and irrigation networks as well as project management skills.

Manages the implementation of design management system/s and its effectiveness in meeting business, statutory, legal, and contractual requirements.

Oversees all phases or stages of design management including interactions/ coordination with construction, commercial, programme and procurement.
Responsible for coordinating activities to deliver assigned elements of annual business plan outcomes to deadlines and budget requirements.
Guides daily activities of the team of design management resources for project/s.
Ensures briefs and stakeholder requirements are adhered to.
Provides operational support for design management resource deployed to project/s.
Interprets and presents management review data/key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders.
Supports business development and work winning activities.
Ensures management system and governance is adhered across the lifecycle of project/s and project.
Responsible for review and input into management reviews, collating, analysing, and presenting data and key metrics.
Develops effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinates with team/s ensuring coordinated deliverables.
Actively seeks out knowledge and experience through company reach back.
Actively seeks understanding and utilise the centre of excellence (CoE) knowledge base.
Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You'll need to have:
Experience working in the United Arab Emirates is essential for client approval.
Good knowledge & application of design management systems, design risk management and mitigation.
Excellent knowledge of prefabrication/build strategies.
Multiple sectors experience delivering different building types.
You'll also need:
Educated to degree level preferably in design relevant discipline (or equivalent).
Enthusiastic, ability to adapt to change.
Listens and clarifies to check understanding.
Uses the most appropriate method and style of communication.
Understands personal strengths and weaknesses, seeks learning and support where appropriate.
