Talent Acquisition Manager @ IPG Health | Recruiting, Candidate Experience Reporting to the Director of DevOps, the Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of one or more enterprise technology systems essential to the core business functions.
The Senior DevOps Engineer acts as technical resource to management and staff assisting in the operational support of the current computing environment and implementation of technology initiatives that align with the Agency's overall strategic plan and its commitment to its staff, its clients, and its communities.
Qualified infrastructure systems engineers will have a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis and be able to demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.
Core Responsibilities
Maintain existing documentation of procedures, operations and network topology to ensure the highest levels of systems.
Write and maintain custom scripts and Terraform plans to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks, help automate deployments.
Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks , specifically workspace management and creating workflows and pipelines.
Participate in the design of system architectures with various departments.
Implement and enforce policy and procedures to ensure the protection, integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the company.
Participate in audits & security reviews, providing required documentation and/or information.
Be an integral part of continually improving our cloud architecture as technology, industry standards, and best practices continue to evolve.
Architect and support scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant web applications on Azure cloud infrastructure.
Maintain a fleet of containerized applications and app services, managing deployments, uptime, cost, and security.
Build CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Databricks, GitHub, and GitHub Actions .
Participate in meetings with Project Teams for new and ongoing digital development projects, representing the DevOps unit.
The Ideal Person
Has the ability to multitask and be able to articulate verbally and in writing process and instructions to staff.
Is comfortable working with Linux systems.
Has experience with SQL databases (NoSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, and SQL Express).
Hands-on experience with Hasura, CosmoDB, and Azure ML Studio.
Has a broad knowledge profile when it comes to web application architecture and infrastructure, and really excels in areas such as Linux scripting, Azure Cloud, Networking, and Containerization.
Is comfortable with production systems and technologies, for ex.
load balancing, monitoring, distributed systems, and configuration management.
Has experience using infrastructure management technologies such as Cloudformation, Terraform - as well as scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Powershell.
Is familiar with and enthusiastic about software engineering best practices such as testing, automation, CI and CD.
Experience
Microsoft Azure experience is a must.
5+ years' experience in a DevOps role.
Implementing and managing medium to large cloud systems.
Strong Knowledge of Azure core features, including App Services, Databases, Databricks, Networking, FrontDoor, WAF policies, Storage, Azure Functions, etc.
CI/CD Pipeline and Automation experience.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Powershell, Bash and Python.
Experience with implementing and testing DR scenarios.

$90,000-$110,000 annually.
