The Neonatal ICU at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is a 36-bed unit providing expert nursing care for infants with critical diagnoses. It is one of two Level IV NICUs in Washington, D.C., the highest level designated by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Common diagnoses include:
Our NICU is the only one in the Washington, D.C. region where clinical nurses can participate in high-risk deliveries, receive ECMO training, and participate in both flight and ground transports. It serves as the major referral center for MedStar-affiliated facilities and several community hospitals in the tri-state area. The NICU offers innovative treatments such as:

Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide proficient nursing care to patients and families with needs ranging from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential problems within specific patient populations, analyze trends, and plan appropriate interventions, either directly or through other nurses.
