Provide advice and counsel across multiple areas of business law related to an organization's legal rights and obligations.
Manage legal business matters pertaining to the organization. Act as an advisor on legal issues involving the organization's government and regulatory compliance. Review legal data and advise the organization on appropriate legal actions. Demonstrate experience in general corporate matters, including corporate organization, securities compliance, drafting transactional documents, license agreements, data privacy, risk management, and contract management.
Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To
Managing cases/projects from start to finish.
Advising departments and conducting legal research on their behalf.
Preparing and reviewing legal documents and reports.
Developing litigation strategies.
Gathering information and evidence.
Updating and consulting with middle and senior associates.
Supervising paralegals or legal assistants from time to time.
Providing legal advice and counsel in business-related areas of expertise (e.g., corporate law, real estate, tax, business litigation, transactions/antitrust, compliance, intellectual property, employment/labor, corporate governance, ethics, etc.).
Researching, analyzing, and interpreting proposed and existing laws, statutes, and regulations.
Identifying, evaluating, and addressing issues of legal risk.
Structuring, drafting, negotiating, and/or approving legal contracts, letters of agreement, policies, and other documents related to a variety of trade, commercial, financial, and operational matters.
Representing or advocating for an organization in litigation, arbitration, mediation, or other disputes with courts, government agencies, or other legal authorities.
Liaising with external legal counsel on complex legal issues.
