The challenge as a Project Engineer

You will be working for all three companies within the Flexx Group, active in the maritime industry and on land. Due to growth within our relatively new company, HydroFlexx, focusing on sustainable solutions to help our customers reduce their ships' environmental footprint, we could use your expertise. Hydroflexx is part of the Flexx Group, where we also offer Bulk handling storage & transfer systems, product processing technology, exhaust gas cleaning and, recently, hydrogen solutions. As you can read, we are helping the industry with green, sustainable solutions. Currently, we are building the first hydrogen-powered ship of its kind in the world!

Project Engineer

Project Engineers oversee technical and engineering projects to ensure a high level of accuracy and quality. They work in teams to translate requirements into implementable designs. Therefore, you will have a varied career consisting of 3D modelling (main task), solving technical matters, attending customer meetings, inspections, commissionings and contacting suppliers.

Some essential tasks & responsibilities:

- 2D/3D Modelling with Inventor and AutoCAD (mainly Inventor)

- Process engineering

- Equipment specification

- Provide internal technical support to the management team and sales departments.

- Co-operate with the PLC programmer to achieve the best possible system

- Answering technical questions by customers.

- Technical assistance at the worksite

- Creative thinking is used to achieve process improvement.

- Contribute to achieving a pleasant cooperation climate within the organisation;

- Carrying out other activities not directly related, commissioned by the Manager Sales/management.

- Attending and giving input in the periodic departmental meetings.

- Attend and provide input for the product information sessions.

- Keeping track of technical developments using professional literature.

Practically:
Every Monday, we exercise together (boot camp), and the company provides a personal trainer. On Tuesday, the company organises a free lunch. You have flexible working hours, and working from home one day a week is possible. If you travel internationally, you may be eligible for a bonus. Your starting salary depends on your experience and knowledge and will be somewhere between € 2.750 and € 4.000 gross per month.

The ideal Project Engineering

Besides knowing how to model, you also have technical experience in process-related equipment (such as piping, appendages, sensors and steel structures). Of course, ideally, you have some automation experience as well. A mechatronics diploma is preferred (mbo / hbo bachelor), but a mechanical engineering diploma also fits. In a later stage of your career you can develop yourself towards a Project Manager.
