What should I expect in the Internship?

Our award-winning intern programme will give you a unique insight into the world of work and hands-on experience of life in business.

Our 12-month internship will see you playing a pivotal role in supporting the Internal Communications and Social Media team in enhancing Hays' profile and reputation within the organization.

You will contribute to the effective delivery of key internal communication messages, utilizing your digital communication skills and knowledge.

On completion you'll be equipped with the skills you'll need to succeed once you finish university, with many of our interns returning to Hays after completing their studies to take advantage of our Executive Marketing roles throughout numerous specialisms.

The skills you will develop will include but not be limited to:

• Collating information from various business stakeholders to create communication bulletins, including emails, bulletins, and town-halls.

• Building various communications using SharePoint and Salesforce.

• Assisting in delivering internal communication campaigns.

• Regularly updating the company's Intranet.

• Collaborating with the in-house design team on Internal Communications projects.

What you'll need to succeed

• Passion to succeed and be part of a fast-paced inclusive environment.
• Basic knowledge of current communication technology, including SharePoint, Salesforce, Google Analytics, MS Stream, and other digital-based communication tools.

• IT literacy with basic knowledge of MS Office.

• Ability to prioritize workload, work effectively under pressure, adhere to approval processes, and brand guidelines, and meet strict deadlines.

• An organized and methodical approach to tasks.

• An agile approach to work, with the ability to deliver on fast turn-around times.

• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to contribute to the overall communications team.

• Good timekeeping skills.
