The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors (ACTA) is the leading national trade association representing the retail travel sector in Canada. Our mission is to advocate on behalf of our members, provide exceptional educational resources, and promote professionalism within the industry.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Bilingual Membership Manager to join our national team. This home-based position plays a key role in growing ACTA's membership, increasing engagement with our programs, and providing excellent service in both English and French. If you are a relationship-builder with a strong background in sales and service-and fluent in both official languages-we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive membership growth across all categories: Travel Agencies, Independent Travel Advisors, Certified Travel Counsellors/Managers, and Allied Members.
  • Promote the adoption of ACTA programs such as insurance, training, and merchant services.
  • Deliver outstanding bilingual customer service and build strong member relationships.
  • Lead French and English engagement efforts including webinars, communications, and translations.
  • Support planning and delivery of member education, networking events, and trade shows.
  • Clearly communicate advocacy initiatives and member benefits.
  • Maintain accurate records in ACTA's CRM system.
  • Represent ACTA at industry events, media opportunities, and regional government meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and support committees to advance ACTA's strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales and service management role, ideally in travel or tourism.
  • Post-secondary education in Travel, Tourism, or Business.
  • Proven success in sales, negotiation, and client relationship management.
  • Fully bilingual (English/French) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian travel industry and stakeholders (e.g., IATA, OPC) is a strong asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsabilités principales

  • Stimuler la croissance de l'adhésion dans toutes les catégories : agences de voyages, conseillers en voyages indépendants, conseillers/gestionnaires de voyages certifiés et membres alliés.
  • Promouvoir l'adoption des programmes de l'ACTA tels que l'assurance, la formation et les services marchands.
  • Fournir un service client bilingue exceptionnel et établir des relations solides avec les membres.
  • Diriger les efforts d'engagement en français et en anglais, y compris les webinaires, les communications et les traductions.
  • Soutenir la planification et la réalisation de l'éducation des membres, des événements de réseautage et des salons professionnels.
  • Communiquer clairement les initiatives de défense des intérêts et les avantages pour les membres.
  • Maintenir des dossiers précis dans le système CRM de l'ACTA.
  • Représenter l'ACTA lors d'événements de l'industrie, d'opportunités médiatiques et de réunions gouvernementales régionales.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes internes et soutenir les comités pour faire avancer les objectifs stratégiques de l'ACTA.

Qualifications

  • Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience dans un rôle de gestion des ventes et du service, idéalement dans le secteur du voyage ou du tourisme.
  • Études postsecondaires en voyage, tourisme ou affaires.
  • Succès avéré en vente, négociation et gestion des relations clients.
  • Parfaitement bilingue (français/anglais) avec d'excellentes compétences en communication écrite et verbale.
  • Bonne connaissance de l'industrie canadienne du voyage et des parties prenantes (par exemple, IATA, OPC) est un atout important.
  • Maîtrise de Microsoft Office et des systèmes CRM/bases de données.
  • Très organisé, soucieux du détail et autonome avec la capacité de gérer plusieurs priorités
