Job Purpose
Product Engineering is a Software Engineering portfolio under Emirates Group. We are hiring talented software engineers to develop and support a range of software applications that drive the growth of Emirates Airlines and the group, covering areas such as Passenger services, Airport/ground operations, Crew & Network Operations, Air Cargo Sales and Operations, Holiday and Leisure products and services globally. Software is central to supporting these diverse and complex business operations, built using modern technology stacks including Cloud EPM, TPF / ALCS, ReactJS, AngularJS, NodeJS, Java Microservices, .Net, Python, Oracle, Salesforce, ERP suite, etc., following industry best practices including DevSecOps and modern engineering practices.
The Senior Software Engineer - Cloud EPM is an active member of an agile feature team, working independently on software development and problem resolution. The role involves technical design, software development, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions/products supporting the Emirates Group Business.
Main Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior technical engineers in designing solutions by analyzing technical application requirements.
Translate technical solutions for small to medium initiatives into detailed design and working code.
Write secure, optimized code following Emirates Group's coding standards.
Participate in rotational on-call support, resolving production issues within SLA with minimal supervision.
Ensure high quality by implementing comprehensive unit testing within the CI/CD pipeline.
Identify and resolve defects with minimal rework.
Practice code refactoring to minimize technical debt.
Implement logging and monitoring as part of development.
Keep updated with relevant technologies and apply learnings to improve code quality.
Adhere to IT standards, guidelines, and contribute to engineering playbooks and standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 3+ years of experience in Oracle Cloud EPM.
Experience with Oracle EPM Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Solution (FCCS).
Experience with Oracle EPM Narrative Reporting (NR).
Experience with Oracle EPM Tax Reporting Cloud Solution (TRCS).
Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM).
Experience with Oracle EPM cloud integration and EPM Automate.
Support, enhancement, and implementation experience.
Knowledge of relational and multi-dimensional databases, especially Oracle.
Experience with application performance monitoring.
Strong understanding of application design principles, patterns, and best practices.
Financial domain knowledge, including financial consolidation, corporate tax, and country-by-country reporting (CbCR), is advantageous.
Knowledge / Skills:
Design and develop enterprise software.
Solid understanding of testing concepts, including unit testing, functional testing, and test automation.
Problem-solving using technical expertise.
Experience with system design tools and listed technologies.
Design, code, and maintain medium to large applications/modules.
Strong Agile development skills.
Excellent systems analysis and technical design skills.
