Summary
The Cost Controller at Kayali will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the company's financial performance, focusing on cost control, budgeting, and operational efficiency across our global fragrance business. The successful candidate will ensure strict adherence to cost management policies, support strategic decision-making, and drive profitability through robust financial analysis and reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze company expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and developing strategies to optimize cost-effectiveness in fragrance production/packaging, distribution, and marketing.
Develop, implement, and maintain effective budgeting and forecasting processes; support the creation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts based on historical data and market trends.
Conduct regular variance analysis to compare actual costs with budgeted amounts, investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare, present, and interpret timely and accurate financial reports for management, including profit and loss statements, cost analysis summaries, and budget reports.
Collaborate with department heads (e.g., production, supply chain, marketing) to identify and realize cost-saving initiatives and ensure alignment with company objectives.
Oversee inventory management, including tracking, reconciliation, and analysis of inventory costs, ensuring accurate reporting and minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements (GAAP/IFRS).
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of cost-related entries,
Participate in audits and support audit processes related to cost and inventory controls.
Drive continuous improvement in cost control systems, including ERP enhancements and automation of financial processes.
Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial feasibility of new projects, product launches, and capital investments, providing cost-benefit analyses and recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CCP) are a plus.
Proven experience (7+ years) in cost control, financial analysis, or cost accounting, preferably within FMCG, fragrance, or manufacturing sectors.
Strong evidence of cost control activities that have driven business results.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
Experience with ERP systems and(Microsoft Dynamics and advantage) advanced Excel skills; familiarity with inventory management and cost accounting processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing cost optimization opportunities.
